On the 1st of April 2025 the most significant updates to the FGCC since its launch in 2015 will come into effect. Now mandated for large grocery businesses, with significant financial penalties for breaches, it also includes several new inclusions such as prohibition of retribution, alignment of retail buyer incentives and the introduction of specific provisions for fresh produce. With the addition of these changes along with amendments to the good faith provisions, many of the existing clauses can be interpreted and applied differently.
